Key points include:
Expanding ATO compliance programs
Extending the instant asset write-off (IAWO)
Lodgement penalty amnesty program for small businesses
Other administrative measures for small businesses
Superannuation measures, including amendments to NALI provisions
Build-To-Rent incentives
Amendments to Part IVA to capture schemes involving lower WHT paid to foreign residents and dominant purpose to reduce foreign income tax with an Australian tax benefit
Many tax agenda items were not included in the budget, including tax residency reform, reviews of CGT rollover relief and concessions, etc.
