eInvoicing is a way for invoices to be exchanged, securely and directly, between buyers and suppliers' software through a network called Peppol.
Some benefits of eInvoicing include:
Time and cost savings - increased automation on both sides, so you don't need to scan and manually enter supplier invoices
Security and reliability - reduce the risk of fake invoices or invoices that have been compromised by scammers
Faster payment times - using eInvoicing reduces risk of emails with PDF invoice attachments or posted invoices getting lost
Mark Stockwell, Director of eInvoicing at the ATO, presents an overview of the eInvoicing process and answers some FAQs. Afterwards, Krunal Patel provides a live demo of how the process works in Xero.
